Next season, several standout players from college softball will don new uniforms and compete in different locations.
Emma Jackson from East Carolina has made her way to Missouri after hitting 21 home runs this season. Jasmine Burns, a national-level catcher from Ohio, is set to join Texas Tech. Maya Johnson, who led the nation in strikeouts while at Belmont, along with Sophia Knight from Boise—who topped the charts in hits—are also in the transfer portal, with Knight already having signed with Tennessee.
Following an exciting Women’s College World Series where Texas triumphed over Texas Tech in a three-game matchup, many prominent players from the eight participating teams are pursuing new opportunities.
