A Hooters waitress tried to avoid a DUI arrest by calling a Florida police officer a “nerd” after she was pulled over late last year. This was revealed in newly surfaced body camera footage.
Sophia Ross, 22, had her gruesome actions all caught on camera during a traffic stop in November when she was handcuffed on suspicion of driving while impaired in the Sarasota area.
According to body camera footage obtained by police, the Florida woman made several attempts to convince officers that she worked at Hooters and was wearing the famous Hooters tank top. This week on WFTV.
“We're going to argue here,” she told the officer, but the officer quickly rejected the suggestion, which led to a field sobriety test, the footage shows.
She then called the officer “daddy” multiple times, according to the video.
“I would do anything for my dad,” she said.
The officer tried to ease him through the breathalyzer test, sometimes laughing at his antics, but Ross persisted.
“I can't keep my hands off you,” she said, to which the officer replied, “I'm afraid you'll have to.”
She even pulled up her sweatshirt to reveal the Hooters tank top she was wearing underneath to a police officer's body-worn camera.
In the end, it became clear that her flirting wasn't going to work, leading Ross to mock the officer.
“Brother, don't be such a nerd, brother,” she cried.

When he tried to warn her that her body camera was recording the entire incident, she repeatedly said, “I'm a nerd,” and taunted him.
“Everything we do is recorded and anyone can see it,” he said. “Dad, mom, grandma, family.”
Then Ross interjected, “Do you think I'll do AF?”
No field sobriety tests were conducted and she was instead taken into custody.
Ross was charged with driving under the influence, but has pleaded not guilty and a pretrial hearing is scheduled for Thursday. Law and Crime Reportedcited the record.
According to a police report obtained by WFTV, authorities said Ross was pulled over at a green light and allegedly hit several curbs.
Ross also told police he had been drinking at a bar before he was pulled over, the report said.
