‘Floribama Shore’ star Kirk Medas passes away at 33

Sorry to share some heartbreaking news: Kirk Medas, known for his role in “Floribama Shore,” has died at just 33 due to liver failure. This tragic announcement came from the show’s official Instagram account on Friday night, expressing deep sorrow over his passing.

The Medas family revealed to TMZ that he had been hospitalized with a severe case of necrotizing pancreatitis before his death. His father confirmed that liver failure was the cause.

Amy Hall, a former castmate, had posted on social media about Kirk being in the ICU for two weeks, battling serious health issues and being on a ventilator. She mentioned that, while it was a tough time, she was grateful to stay updated through FaceTime with his friends and roommates.

Hall pointed out that Medas lacked medical insurance, leading her mother to start a GoFundMe to help with expenses. She urged fans for support and expressed immense gratitude for any help, emphasizing that even prayers meant a lot.

“Pray for Kirk, his mother, his friends, and his castmates. It’s hard to see our loved ones struggle,” she concluded in her poignant message.

Medas, who became a favorite among fans, appeared in “Floribama Shore” from 2017 to 2020, with a total of 25 episodes under his belt.

In a post shortly before his death, another co-star, Nirsa Prowant, shared a heartfelt video and expressed her gratitude for the outpouring of support, mentioning how difficult it was to see someone dear in pain.

It’s genuinely painful and uncertain to witness the suffering of someone you love, but the kindness and encouragement from everyone have really made a difference during this tough time. His mother is thankful for the support.
