A Florida boy who suffered severe burns during a freak accident during a camping trip is slowly recovering.
Tabitha Shea said her 2-year-old son, Finny, was running around during a family camping trip in Gainesville, Florida.
Finney's mother said the toddler was happily playing with a bubble wand when he tripped and fell into a campground fire pit.
“His pants were melting when I grabbed him. It was like nylon material and it was melting. They melted on me and I ripped it,” Shay said. Told To Fox 35.

The mother said her other son, Weston, 11, saved the day with his quick actions.
The older brother allegedly reached into the flames and pulled the younger brother out of the flames.
“He grabbed Finny's sweater and said to me, 'Mom, it took me a second to realize what was going on. And I said, 'Oh my God!' So I pulled him out,” Shay said. “Somehow he got through it without getting booed, which is a miracle. But we're very, very proud of him. Very proud.”

Finney's father, Jeff Strait, said he couldn't help but blame himself at first.
“He just randomly ran backwards and ran straight into the fire. You know, how likely is something like that to happen? Why don't you blame yourself at first? It’s difficult,” Strait told local media.
The parents thanked the “village” of friends and family who rallied around the family during a difficult time as their young son recovered.
“I thought I had a few friends, but it turns out I have friends all over the village,” Shay said.
