A Florida couple has been arrested on suspicion of kidnapping an infant from a Washington state city, with one of the suspects posing as an Amazon delivery driver, according to reports. people magazine.

When the victim finally opened the door, Lai greeted her, punched her in the face multiple times, dragged her to the ground and tied her wrists and ankles with zip ties, according to court documents. A woman, who the victim did not know, entered the apartment and held her down, while the man put the infant in an Amazon box and immediately left the scene.
According to the victim, one of the suspects allegedly threatened the victim’s 2-year-old child if he did not comply. After the suspects left the apartment, the woman slipped out of the zip ties and called police.
Ardila Urrego and Rai were eventually arrested, and the 7-month-old was returned home. Bail for each suspect was set at $700,000, and arraignment was scheduled for the morning of March 7th.
According to FOX News Digital, prosecutors have not identified a clear motive in the incident and there is no evidence that “mental illness or substance abuse contributed to this crime.”
