Florida Sen. Jason Pizzo (D) has introduced a bill requiring employers to use e-verify to prevent the employment of illegal immigrants.
Pizzo, a Democrat, jumped to his X account to encourage Florida people to support the bill, saying, “My bill is up asking Florida employers to use e-verify — “We encourage state senators to participate as co-sponsors.”
Pizzo is unlike current law, he says SB 782 Adds penalties to businesses that do not use employment verification systems.
“There were no real penalties attached to existing laws, so we added a few, including a permanent revocation of the business license and a fine of up to $500,000 that would result in death,” he said. I said so.
The bill also includes a one-year fine of $10,000 and a revocation of the license for the first crime. and a $250,000 fine and a permanent license loss for the third crime.
Another X user asked the senator how many illegal workers would be in the state.
“Suppose there are 1,200,000 illicit aliens in Florida, with only 300,000 earning minimum wage ($13 per hour), Pizzo replied.

The Democratic minority leader also cheated his colleagues for not being able to adequately immigrate his Republican colleagues.

Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis said he is going further, supporting the idea of demanding e-verify for all jobs, not just some jobs.
“Even one Democrat has pointed out some of the people in Congress: 'Why shouldn't we say everything, why don't we hire all of our jobs?'” Desantis said I did. “And that's why. I think we should do that. Every adoption needs to give e-verify.”
