Florida mom irate after murder suspect daughter gets pregnant in jail through ‘unconventional method’

A Florida mother is reportedly demanding answers after her daughter became pregnant while incarcerated in a Miami prison.

Daisy Link, 28, who is being held at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on murder rap charges, revealed to her mother Josie Ramos on Christmas Day that she was pregnant. According to NBC Miami.

Link told Ramos that another inmate in another part of the facility, who is also charged with murder, repeatedly passed semen-filled gloves to her through an air conditioner vent. Told.

Local 10 reported Link said she had never met the man and only spoke to him through the vent.

But Ramos told NBC he doesn't believe that explanation.

“I know this shouldn't have happened,” Ramos told NBC. “I heard what they said happened with the air conditioner vents, which is ridiculous and ridiculous.”

Link's lawyer said prison officials told her she became pregnant in an “unconventional manner,” but did not provide specifics.

The baby's father has since been removed from the facility.

Link is currently three months pregnant, and Ramos told the station that she was concerned about Link's health while being held in the facility's mental health unit.

“I hope someone in the courthouse looks at this and lets her out so she can get proper prenatal care, because you can't come out of a prison where someone impregnated you while you're awaiting trial.” Ramos said. .
