A heartless mother in Florida reportedly tried to sell her toddler to a bank for $500 last week, but when no one would take her, she abandoned the child.

Jessica Woods, 33, was found wandering with her 18-month-old daughter outside an H&R Block in Palatka, Florida, when one of her companions approached her.

Bank employees recognized Woods as a mother who frequently visits the area and used the bank’s bathroom to change her daughter’s clothes.

A concerned bank employee asked the woman if she needed help, and Woods allegedly demanded money.

Woods was searched on March 7 and charged with six felonies, according to jail records reviewed by the newspaper.
