A heartless mother in Florida reportedly tried to sell her toddler to a bank for $500 last week, but when no one would take her, she abandoned the child.
Jessica Woods, 33, was found wandering with her 18-month-old daughter outside an H&R Block in Palatka, Florida, when one of her companions approached her.
Bank employees recognized Woods as a mother who frequently visits the area and used the bank’s bathroom to change her daughter’s clothes.

The next morning, March 5, Woods was found sleeping in an outdoor air conditioning unit while her daughter was in a nearby shopping cart without a blanket.
A concerned bank employee asked the woman if she needed help, and Woods allegedly demanded money.
According to the newspaper, Woods’ request was not accepted, but the employee offered to buy Duo’s products, which irritated Woods to the point that he threw his child.
Later that day, Woods returned to shore and placed the child on the ground, where the child immediately began crawling towards the driveway.
When the employee picked up the child, Woods asked if she wanted to buy her daughter.
“Woods told the citizen he didn’t need anything, but then offered to sell the child to the citizen for $500,” the Palatka Police Department said. said in a press release. “When the citizen refused to buy the child, Mr. Woods left and left his daughter.”
The bank employee took the toddler inside the bank to clean him before reporting Woods’ horrific behavior to the police.
Officers held the girl in custody until the Department of Children and Families arrived and took her into custody.
“As a result of the investigation, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Woods on charges of child abuse, child neglect, and child neglect.”
The child was then placed in foster care.
Woods was searched on March 7 and charged with six felonies, according to jail records reviewed by the newspaper.
She was booked into the Putnam County Jail and charged with selling or surrendering a minor for money or property, unlawful abandonment of a child, aggravated child abuse, and three counts of child abuse without great bodily harm. Ta.
