A Bora Sport motorcyclist with the word “WILL RUN” on his license plate led police on a high-speed chase through multiple Florida cities. This is the second time in just one week.
dramatic aerial footage Tuesday’s incident depicts a teenage biker weaving recklessly in and out of freeway traffic, running a red light at a busy intersection and taunting a police officer with his tail.
“Oh, did you have fun?” the deputy asked the biker after he was finally caught.
“No, it’s not,” the handcuffed teen quickly replied.
The high-speed pursuit began when a patrol officer attempted to pull over 19-year-old Ashtyn Jarvis’ vehicle after noticing his unique tag.
According to an arrest affidavit, police tried to arrest Jarvis a few days earlier after spotting an invalid license plate during the annual Daytona Beach Bike Week, but the boy allegedly fled the scene. Obtained by law and crime.
Officials said officers used the same tactic a second time Tuesday, sparking a high-speed chase through Port Orange, Daytona Beach and other surrounding cities.
As a police helicopter crew struggled to catch up with the fleeing motorcycle as it entered Daytona Beach, the flat tire was recorded to have reached a top speed of 145 mph.
At one point, Jarvis allegedly began circling the patrol car and taunted the officers inside.
“What happens if I stop?” he jeered.
This heckler gave the police a golden opportunity to catch the juvenile delinquent. The officer pointed a Taser at Jarvis, forcing him to jump off the bike.
After the deputy asked if Jarvis had fun leading the pursuit, another officer asked if there was any chance of capturing Jarvis’ license plate.
“Good job, dude. You guys are really good on motorcycles,” the lieutenant said.
The boy then allegedly told police he bought the fake tag because he saw a different version online and thought it was interesting.
In addition to the traffic violation, Jarvis was arrested on multiple charges, including high speed fleeing, reckless driving, and possession of a false license plate.
