Police in central Florida are asking for the public’s help in identifying the people allegedly involved in a fatal brawl inside a Publix grocery store on Thursday.
According to the Winter Haven Department of Public Safety, the male victim, who has not been identified, followed a group of men into the Publix at Northgate Shopping Center in Polk County around 1:35 p.m. Thursday.
An argument ensued between the victim and the group, resulting in a physical fight and the victim was stabbed. The group of men then ran out of the store and fled the scene, police said.
Details about a potential motive and what led to the fight are not available at this time.

The victim was dropped off at the entrance to Winter Haven Hospital’s emergency department, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said the driver who took the victim to the hospital did not remain at the scene.

Winter Haven authorities posted photos on Facebook Thursday night of a group believed to have been involved in the altercation.
