Florida Republican Rep. Anna Paulina Luna said Wednesday that her office had received “very serious shooting threats.”
“This campaign of division and hate against the Republican Party will cost someone their life,” the congresswoman, who represents Florida's 13th congressional district, said in a statement.
“I will not be intimidated or threatened, and I will not give in to those who use violence to further their agenda. We will prevail.”
Luna, a strong supporter of former President Donald Trump, did not say when the threat was made or provide any further details.
This comes just days after she claimed her personal information was leaked and threatening letters were sent to her home after her former Democratic opponent called her a “threat to democracy.”
“I will continue to fight for the amazing people who elected me and for those across the country who feel left behind,” she vowed Wednesday. “Please pray for my family. There is no place for hate here.”
