Florida Teacher Arrested for Alleged Sexual Relationship with Student

A high school math teacher in Florida was taken into custody after reportedly engaging in a sexual relationship with a student. The situation began when a concerned parent followed their son to a location that raised suspicions.

Kirsten Rose, aged 37, who taught at Cocoa Beach Junior/Senior High School, was arrested by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office in connection with the allegations.

The investigation launched in March was prompted by concerns from the boy’s parents. They grew suspicious when their son returned home late from school and did not provide a clear account of his whereabouts.

Upon further inquiry, the parents discovered he had been at an unfamiliar house. Initially, the boy claimed he was visiting a girlfriend, but eventually confessed to a romantic involvement with his teacher.

Authorities uncovered that Rose and the student had been privately communicating on Instagram since November 2025. The relationship reportedly became sexual in February and extended into March.

Rose was arrested and is now being held in the Brevard County Jail without bond. She faces five counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and one count of indecent exposure as a person of authority.

The investigation is still active, and authorities are urging anyone with more information to reach out to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit.
