Palm Coast, Florida – A woman has been arrested for allegedly impersonating a licensed nurse and treating over 4,400 patients at a local hospital. The arrest occurred this week, carried out by deputies from the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.
Fall Bardisa, 29, was taken into custody after investigators found she had been operating without a medical license. She faces multiple charges, including seven counts related to practicing without a license and misusing personal identification.
This case followed a seven-month investigation initiated in January. Hospital representatives revealed that Bardisa had been terminated for using false documents to secure a position as a senior nurse technician at AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway.
Bardisa started working at the hospital in July 2023. Initially hired for her advanced nursing skills, she was supposed to be supervised by licensed nurses. However, she misrepresented her qualifications, claiming to have completed the necessary education but not the licensing exam.
During the hiring process, she provided a different last name and a license number that falsely matched her credentials. When questioned about this discrepancy, Bardisa claimed she had recently married and that this had caused the name change. However, when asked for her marriage license, she failed to provide it.
In January 2025, Bardisa was promoted but an internal investigation began after hospital officials discovered her license was actually expired and belonged to a certified nursing assistant. Eventually, she was fired on January 22nd.
It was later uncovered that Bardisa had assumed the identity of another nurse from a different AdventHealth location, although the two had no personal connection aside from having attended the same school.
Throughout the investigation, it became clear that Bardisa had provided medical treatment to a significant number of patients without any valid nursing license. She is currently being held at the Flagler County detention facility on a $70,000 bond.
“This is one of the most unsettling medical fraud cases we’ve ever seen,” noted Sheriff Rick Staley, emphasizing the serious implications of her actions on patient safety and trust within the medical community.
