Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather's security team allegedly destroyed a $3,000 camera when a brawl broke out at his New York City studio, law enforcement sources told The Post on Friday.
Officials said the incident occurred during an interview with Mayweather at the streaming platform ZEAM Studios' offices at 1021 Sixth Avenue in Manhattan.
Officials said at the time of the interview that a verbal altercation broke out between studio employees and Mayweather's security team.
During the dispute, the boxer's bodyguard allegedly barged into the studio, took one of the employees' cameras (worth about $3,000) and slammed them to the ground.
The incident, which involved a bodyguard who allegedly broke the 54-year-old employee's camera, was not reported to police until Friday, officials said.
Representatives for Mayweather did not immediately respond to The Post's request for comment.
This isn't the first time Mayweather's security has come under police investigation for allegedly chasing a photographer.
Earlier this year, a man accused Mayweather of an incident in which one of his bodyguards allegedly punched Mayweather and tried to take his cell phone after he tried to film him during a visit to a Los Angeles restaurant in 2022. . According to the Los Angeles Times.
Mayweather's representatives later claimed that Mayweather left the restaurant without incident because it was too crowded.
