Hollywood Bowl Unveils Summer Season for 2026
The Hollywood Bowl, a beloved outdoor venue in Southern California, has revealed its exciting lineup for the summer of 2026.
This year’s offerings seem to lean towards nostalgia, with a focus on memorable performances and an eye on upcoming events.
Attendees can look forward to unique collaborations across various genres, along with a poignant farewell to Gustavo Dudamel, a prominent figure in contemporary classical music.
Slated to open on June 20th, this season kicks off with a Broadway tribute and an impressive fireworks show.
Notable names gracing the stage this summer include The Beach Boys, OneRepublic, Jon Batiste, Nas, and Gladys Knight, among others. It looks like it’ll be quite the mix. For Independence Day, the Beach Boys will perform with John Stamos, featuring a three-night celebration filled with surf rock classics and, of course, plenty of fireworks.
June 19 will showcase Chance the Rapper in a “musical celebration of black freedom,” while the following day, Ziggy Marley and Burning Spear will headline Reggae Night XXIV. This is just a taste of what’s to come—jazz enthusiasts will be pleased with a two-night Blue Note Jazz Festival as well.
This summer is particularly notable due to Dudamel’s final stint as the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s music director. He’s had a huge impact on the classical music landscape here for 17 years. To honor his legacy, there will be a four-night series titled “Celebrating Gustavo at the Bowl.”
In a surprising twist, the Foo Fighters will perform on August 22, backed by the LA Philharmonic and the Los Angeles Youth Orchestra. Plus, on August 2nd, there’ll be a collaboration with St. Vincent and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra.
While tickets are expected to go on sale in May, subscriptions and special packages are available for purchase online now.
