Former Phoenix Coyotes hockey player Paul Bissonnette's claims were proven true after surveillance video confirmed his story of being attacked by a group of men.
As Blaze News previously reported, Bissonnette said she was at her favorite restaurant, Houston's in Scottsdale, Arizona, in late November when she noticed a staff member being assaulted by a group of men. .
“It was a group of drunk golfers,” Bissonnette said in a video he posted. ×. “Obviously things continued to escalate. [Staff] “I told one man to leave, but the other man continued to put his hand in the manager's face,” he continued.
Bissonnette claimed that when he tried to intervene, one of the men immediately threw a punch and the altercation quickly escalated to the parking lot, where the former hockey star fought off his attacker.
The Barstool Sports personality assured fans that surveillance video has been released and will exonerate him of any wrongdoing.
After copious amounts of police body camera video, surveillance footage, and even courtroom video were posted online, Bissonnette appeared to have a fairly accurate recollection of the events of that night.
Fox 10 Phoenix reporter Ellen McNamara first posted surveillance video from inside the restaurant on the night in question.

Bissonnette later posted a video to X that purportedly shows one of the men involved. attack the assistant manager from a restaurant that was trying to intervene in the fight.

There's another claim from Bissonnette that seems to have been proven true body camera footage. Bissonnette said he eats out in Houston “four or five times a week,” confirming his earlier hilarious claims about how often he goes to restaurants.
So far, six suspects have been identified and charged with misdemeanor assault and disorderly conduct, with Dailey being the only suspect charged with a felony. These crimes have not yet been proven in court.
