On Monday, April 14th, the WNBA held its 2025 draft in New York City. TCU guard Haley Van Liss was selected by Chicago Sky for the 11th overall pick in the first round. This means she’ll be reunited with her old LSU teammate Angel Reese.
In a post-draft interview, Van Liss was told he was stepping into Chicago’s “good energy.” In response, she seemed to force a smirk and replied, “Oh, I love that energy.”
Jason Whitlock says there’s no chance he actually loves the kind of energy Angel Reese brings to his team.

Shortly after the draft, Reese posted a message to X. This seemed to confirm the suspicion of tension between her and Vanlis.
“Fearless” guest Jay Skapinack said, “If I’m reading between the lines, I think these two didn’t enjoy playing with each other for the first time.”
Jason agrees: “I think she’s already going through what it’s like to play with the narcissistic and selfish Angel Reese. My understanding is a nightmare that all teammates deal with.”
In addition to creating an enemy in court, Reese is neither a stranger to make an enemy by complaining “whimpering about equal pay” and “she’s low pay.”
“She’s somehow making $70,000 to jack up brick layups and airball layups in a game that no one wants to see.
Obviously, Lease has recently posted about buying a house, so he hasn’t hurt anything bad financially. Her presentation was made in the typical Angel Wreath fashion.
“She has been to two universities, Maryland and LSU. I think she learns something and knows how to communicate proper English, but she is leaning against a Jasmine Rockett,” Jason sighs.
