Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) passionately defended her plan to introduce legislation that would ban biological males from using the women's facilities on Capitol Hill, saying, Forcing people to share something is neither dignified nor respectful.”
In response to a question from an ABC reporter, Mace asked about his plans to introduce legislation that would require members of the House of Representatives, delegates, officers and staff to use single-sex facilities based on their biological sex. The upcoming bill is in response to Delaware Congresswoman-elect Sarah McBride (D), a transgender woman who identifies as a woman, who is scheduled to be sworn into the House in January.
Mace didn't back down when asked by reporters about the bill.
“I'm not going to let a biological man into a woman's private space. I'm going to stand on the brink and get in the way of people on the radical left who think it's okay to have penises in women's locker rooms, bathrooms, and changing rooms.” “No, I'm not going to support that,” she said.
“And the Speaker said it would be in the House rules package. If not, I'm prepared to bring a motion, a privilege motion, to force this to vote. This is no good. I'm a victim of sexual abuse and I'm not going to allow a man to invade a woman's private space. End of story,” she said. He said he has received death threats from “men.”
“Why would these crazy people, lunatics, radical leftists, want to kill women over men's right to go into women's bathrooms?” she asked.
A reporter asked Mace what he thought about House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana) saying all new members should be treated with dignity and respect.
“Is it dignity and respect to force this MP into the men's room?” he asked.
“Forcing women to share their private spaces with men is neither dignified nor respectful,” Mace quipped. “We're going to stand in the way of anyone who thinks it's okay for men to be in our locker rooms, changing rooms, dressing rooms and women's restrooms.”
“And the fact is, if you agree with that, you're crazy, because it's not good,” the congressman said. “It's not okay.”

Mace's bill states, “Members, delegates, resident committee members, officers, and employees of the House of Representatives may have access to single-sex facilities (including restrooms, locker rooms, and locker rooms) in the Capitol or the House Office Building if: It shall not be used except for the following. corresponds to the biological sex of such individual; ”
As reported by Breitbart News, Johnson has privately pledged support for Mace's efforts and told a House Republican conference on Tuesday that transgender women cannot use the women's restrooms in the Capitol. It has been reported.
In public remarks, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said: “We will provide reasonable accommodation to all MPs,” declining to say whether McBride was a man or a woman.
“Look, I'm not going to get into this,” Johnson responded. “We welcome with open arms all new members who are duly elected as representatives of the people. I believe this is a command. We treat everyone with dignity and respect. We will. I'm not going to get into a stupid discussion about this.”
