A Ford executive was arrested after he viciously attacked his wife and threatened to set two $10,000 Hermès bags on fire, according to Michigan police.
Police say Frank Louis Victor, 50, who was hired by Ford CEO Jim Farley last year to head the Ford Next self-driving car division, slapped his wife on the Google Nest Hub and slapped her in the head. It is suspected that he stabbed him and punched him in the face. told the Detroit News.
Law enforcement officials said they were summoned to Louis Victor’s home in Dearborn over the weekend after receiving a domestic disturbance call.
The police report said Louis-Victor told police he threatened to set two luxury Hermès bags on fire with a butane torch during an argument with his wife.
After Louis-Victor’s wife stole the bag, Louis-Victor allegedly threatened her with harm.
Police say the feud between the two escalated violently, leaving his wife with a cut just below her left eye.
She was treated in hospital for her injuries.
Louis Victor was charged Monday with felony assault and arson preparation, according to the Detroit News.
The bond was set at $25,000 bond.
His next court appearance is scheduled for July 18, but he was not released on bail as of Tuesday morning.
If convicted, Louis-Victor could face up to four years in prison for assault and up to five years in prison for arson.
Louis-Victor could not be reached for comment.
