National transportation expert Mike Caudill spoke on “The Big Money Show” about the history of the Ford Mustang and revealed the automaker's plans for the future.
Ford is recalling about 144,500 Maverick pickup trucks over concerns that the rearview camera display may show a frozen image when backing up.
The recalled 2022-2024 Maverick trucks are equipped with Connected Touch Radio. September 13th Recall Report It was submitted to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
In its report, Ford said a frozen rearview camera display image could “cause a false indication of where the vehicle is in relation to its surroundings, increasing the risk of a crash.”

The automaker linked the potential issue to “improper memory handling” within its Connected Touch Radio software, which has since been resolved in the manufacturing process.

The recalled vehicles were manufactured between February 2021 and late November last year.

“Our goal is to prevent quality issues from occurring in the first place. And when they do occur, our focus is on responding quickly with recalls and service actions to prevent the issue from happening with as little inconvenience as possible to our customers. We're proud of our best-in-class levels of quality at launch and continuing to improve over time,” Ford said in a statement to FOX Business.

Affected Ford customers can receive the CTR software update from their Ford or Lincoln dealer.

“Participating dealers will have mobile services and pick-up/delivery available for customers during this recall,” Ford told FOX Business.
Ford unveils new LOBO Maverick light truck
A recall official said the company will notify owners of recalled vehicles by mail later this month and plans to complete the notification process by Oct. 4. Dealers have already been notified about the issue.

Ford has started selling the Maverick pickup truck for 2021. An updated version of the vehicle is expected to go on sale later this year.
