Former Biden advisor Ron Klain avoids reporters after being questioned by the House Oversight Committee

On Thursday, Ronald Crane, who was once Chief of Staff under President Joe Biden, walked past reporters without comment after a lengthy interview with Congressional investigators.

Crane, who held the Chief of Staff position during the early part of Biden’s administration, was significant in preparing former leaders for a challenging debate against President Donald Trump.

He participated for hours in a voluntary, transcribed session with staff from the House Oversight Committee.

Committee Chair James Comer, a Republican from Kentucky, is looking into allegations that key aides to Biden may have hidden signs of the president’s mental decline.

Interestingly, those present found Crane credible. Republican Representative Andy Biggs from Arizona noted that Crane “seemed to know exactly what he was saying.” In contrast, Democratic Representative Ro Khanna from California mentioned that Crane answered all questions and was very supportive.

Crane is the sixth former aide from Biden’s administration to testify in Comer’s investigation, and notably, he is one of the few who appeared voluntarily. Others, including former White House doctor Kevin O’Connor, were subpoenaed to attend.

While the investigation intensifies, Crane remarked that he never had concerns about Biden’s mental state previously.

In a series of interviews, several former aides, including Ashley Williams and Neela Tanden, have also participated voluntarily, though many opted to remain silent with reporters both before and after their sessions. It’s certainly a tense situation, and one wonders how it will all unfold.
