Former Bush aide call Trump an ‘ass—-’ over mocking Haley’s deployed husband

A former aide to former President George W. Bush has slammed Trump for mocking Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley’s husband, who was away on military deployment over the weekend.

In response to President Trump’s comments the day before, Scott Jennings said on CNN’s “State of the Union,” “Oh, he’s a terrible person.”

During a rally in South Carolina on Saturday, President Trump mocked Haley’s husband, who was deployed to Africa with the South Carolina Army National Guard last June, for not attending the campaign.

“Where’s her husband?” Trump said. “Oh, he’s not there, he’s not there.” What happened to her husband? What happened to her husband? where is he? he’s gone. “

The remarks drew criticism from Haley, who said Trump “doesn’t need to be commander in chief.”

Jennings suggested that Trump may be making a cheap attack on Haley. She lost to Trump in early races in Iowa and New Hampshire, and “didn’t lose to any of these candidates” in the Nevada primary. There were no delegate nominations for the Nevada primary, but instead the Nevada caucuses, in which Trump participated, were held.

“It’s not the first time he’s been an ass — it’s not the last time he’s been an ass — but it’s now. That’s why people like it. And so are people. “I know they’re going to write it off and say, ‘This is just a tough political campaign,'” Jennings said.

“The man is serving the United States in uniform overseas. So this is a despicable attack on someone who can’t beat him in the nomination race,” he added.
