Former Child Star Tylor Chase Destroys Motel Room Provided for Him After Being Discovered Homeless

This week marked another somber chapter in the life of Tyler Chase, a former star from Nickelodeon, as disturbing reports emerged detailing how a former co-star arranged a motel stay for him, only to have it end in chaos.

As noted in reports, a video capturing Tyler living on the streets of Riverside, California, went viral, nearly 20 years after he portrayed Martin Query in Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide.

“Did you play on Disney Channel?” a passerby inquired.

“No, Nickelodeon,” Chase answered.

“Oh, Nickelodeon. Which show?” the fan prompted.

When he stated Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, they replied, “Oh right, you’re that kid from that show.”

His former co-stars were visibly affected by the footage, expressing their desire to assist him. Notably, Daniel Curtis Lee, who also starred in the series, helped Tyler check into a motel this past Tuesday, traveling 50 miles from the outskirts of Los Angeles.

TMZ mentioned that Lee spent time with Chase, sharing a pizza and catching up before ensuring he had a safe place to stay, especially with inclement weather approaching. “I want to support him in any way I can,” Lee emphasized.

Unfortunately, the motel reported that Chase had left the room in disarray, with belongings strewn everywhere, including the bathtub.

Additionally, Shaun Weiss, a former cast member from Mighty Ducks, extended an offer to help Tyler find a place in a recovery facility. However, Tyler declined help regarding treatment.

A GoFundMe campaign intended to support Chase was ultimately shut down because his mother insisted he required medical care instead of financial support.

“Tyler needs treatment, not money, and he declines that,” his mother stated, adding that she had attempted to assist him with phones, which he tended to lose very quickly. “He can’t handle funds for medication on his own,” she said.

According to the New York Post, Chase’s former co-stars, including Devon Werkheiser, Lindsay Shaw, and Daniel Curtis Lee, have all highlighted his homelessness in discussions during episodes of the Ned’s Declassified Podcast Survival Guide.
