Former Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Tristen Hill has been arrested in Texas, facing allegations of assaulting a pregnant woman.
On March 26, the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office charged Hill, who is 28, with “assault on a pregnant person” and “interfering with a call for emergency assistance.” These details come from prison records reported by a news outlet.
He was taken to the Wayne McCollum Detention Center, where he was held on a $3,500 bond related to two bail forfeiture warrants from a 2025 criminal investigation, as stated by the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office.
The identity of the pregnant woman involved and any potential connection to Hill remains unclear.
Efforts to get a comment from the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office have been made.
Hill played collegiately for three years at the University of Central Florida and was drafted by the Cowboys as the 58th overall pick in 2019.
However, his stint in Dallas didn’t quite meet expectations for a second-round pick. He appeared in 25 games as a defensive tackle over four seasons, registering 39 tackles and 0.5 sacks before being released midway through the 2022 season.
After his release from the Cowboys, he joined the Arizona Cardinals and played in six games, contributing six tackles and one sack.
In March 2023, Hill signed a one-year contract with the Cleveland Browns but was let go in August of that year.
By October 2023, he had joined the New England Patriots’ practice squad, eventually being moved to the active roster for one game before returning to the practice squad.
He was released by the Patriots in October 2024 and has not been associated with any NFL team since then.
