Former ESPN employee blasts Harrison Butker’s ‘garbage’ speech: ‘Go f— yourself’

Criticism of Harrison Butker’s Benedictine University commencement speech continues.

Beadle, who is now part of the San Antonio Spurs broadcast team, said on the “Over the Top” podcast with Peter Rosenberg that it would be “totally stupid” for Butker to lose his job and that “the beauty of this system” is that Butker is able to share his thoughts and everyone has a say.

Rosenberg added that Butker “basically demonized gay people,” and that “that’s enough. I don’t want you on my team.” He later joked that just because former punter Pat McAfee was a “talented guy,” other kickers shouldn’t be in the spotlight.

“Shut up, kicker. Kick the ball. You’re not even on the team,” Rosenberg said.
