Gordon Sondland, the former ambassador to the European Union who testified against former President Donald Trump in the Democrats’ first impeachment attempt, has registered as a foreign agent in Ukraine.
During the impeachment hearing, Sondland gave contradictory testimony about White House meetings in exchange for an investigation into 2016 election interference and Burisma Holdings, a company linked to Biden family business.
It is unclear what specific works Mr. Sondland is producing for Ukraine. There are gaps in his registration, and that’s all there is to know about what “purpose” he is serving in the battleground state. Note He works for a “foreign principal.” Also, compensation is not specified.
NSD/FARA registered units will receive registration on March 21, 2024 and will expire on October 31, 2026.
“Mr. Sondland was widely described as a donor to Mr. Trump who paid for his ambassadorship, but he ended up abandoning Mr. Trump to protect himself,” says Breitbart News’ Joel.・Mr. Pollack reported the following in 2019.
It wasn’t until after Trump’s election that Sondland suddenly became an avid Trump supporter, donating $1 million to Trump’s presidential inaugural committee, OpenSecrets.org. report.

Mr. Sondland’s history of political donations tells the story of Republican elites. They are devoted to the system and are quick to change allegiance when they perceive a personal advantage. That conduct was also evident in the impeachment inquiry, with Mr. Sondland giving the media the “quid pro quo” they wanted, only to later testify that the president had, in fact, specifically told him that that had happened. “There is nothing in return,” he said, adding that he did not want “anything” from Ukraine.
A clearly irritated Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) Asked Mr. Sondland asked why the phrase “no quid pro quo” was omitted from the opening remarks distributed to the media before he began testifying. Sondland said this was “unintentional” and could not be applied to his own statements. “Wouldn’t it fit in a 23-page opener?” Jordan asked.
