Former Giants cornerback Sam Beal has been absent for several months.

Seven months after Sam Beal, a former cornerback for the Giants, vanished, his family is reaching out for assistance from the public.

Beal, who was drafted in the 2018 supplemental draft, hasn’t been seen since July 12, 2025. His sister, Essence Zane, turned to social media on Monday, asking if anyone has information regarding his disappearance.

“Tomorrow will be seven months since I last heard from or saw my brother. We’ve tried everything we can to get answers, but we really need support now,” Zane posted on Facebook. “I’m not looking to answer a bunch of questions about why or anything like that. I just need some clarity to help us move forward. As a big sister, I want my little brother to know we love and miss him. This has been incredibly tough.”

She ended her message by encouraging anyone with information to contact the Kentwood or Virginia Beach Police Departments.

Zane also shared a photo of Beal’s driver’s license, a missing person’s report, and details about a parking receipt.

A missing persons report states that Beal went missing in July after dropping his girlfriend off at her family’s home. He was supposed to borrow her car to go to work but instead drove to Virginia Beach and called her the next day, saying he was safe and would return home soon.

As the report notes, “Samuel has not been heard from since the call on July 13, 2025. He was found with just the clothes he wore, one slide, and his wallet containing bank cards and his driver’s license. The girlfriend’s car was later recovered by a family member in Virginia Beach, with Samuel’s shoes and socks left on the floor and sand scattered inside.”

The Kentwood Police Department is officially handling the investigation. As of now, there has been no response from them regarding the situation.

During his time with the Giants, Beal played in nine games—starting three in 2019 and appearing in three more in 2021. He was waived during the 2021 season and hasn’t been associated with any team since then.

Beal had faced some challenges, including a shoulder injury during his rookie year and being sidelined in 2020 due to COVID-19.

In those nine NFL games, he recorded 27 tackles, with one tackle for loss and one pass defended.

He also dealt with off-field issues, having pleaded guilty to two gun-related offenses in Ohio stemming from a traffic stop in June 2020.
