Former Giants head coach Brian Daboll now leads the list for the Buffalo position

The Buffalo Bills are zeroing in on a new head coach.

Recent insights from Calci, a prediction market and financial trading platform based in New York, point to former Giants head coach Brian Daboll as a strong candidate for the role.

Daboll, who was let go by the Giants in November, currently has a 39 percent chance of landing the position, giving him the highest odds available right now.

However, the competition is fierce, especially since the team is evaluating several prominent names.

One notable contender is Clint Kubiak, the Seahawks’ offensive coordinator, with odds sitting at 19 percent—making him the second favorite.

Meanwhile, the Bills’ current offensive coordinator, Joe Brady, is also in the mix with a 14 percent chance of being chosen.

Interestingly, Philip Rivers, who made headlines with a surprising comeback at the age of 44, also stands at 14 percent.

Rivers, with a long career in the league, surprisingly took up the starting quarterback position in Indianapolis just last December after a stint coaching at the high school level.

Additionally, Mike McDaniel, who resigned from his role with the Dolphins and joined the Chargers as offensive coordinator, is slated to interview for the role as well.

As of Friday afternoon, he has a 10 percent chance of being appointed.

The Bills are on the hunt for a new head coach for the first time in nine years, following the departure of Sean McDermott after the recent AFC playoff loss to the Broncos.

It’s likely that star quarterback Josh Allen will have significant input in the selection process for the new hire.
