Reports indicate that Eric Schmidt, the 70-year-old billionaire and former CEO of Google, is reportedly in a romantic relationship with a model over 40 years his junior. This model, Gloria-Sophie Bourcant, who is 27, is also the daughter of a prominent minister and the president of Bavaria.
Bourcant is said to be working on her doctoral thesis in New York and was recently spotted with Schmidt at the World Economic Forum in Davos. The German newspaper Bild mentioned this observation.
Bild’s headline even posed the question, “Who is the woman that Eric Schmidt, 70, has fallen in love with?” They featured a picture of Bourcant in a traditional Bavarian dirndl.
Schmidt’s representative chose not to comment on the matter, and Bourcant was unavailable for any statements.
A source close to Schmidt remarked that while Bourcant was seen with him at Davos, it’s “just a friendship, not a relationship.” But according to Bild, she is indeed more than a friend and boasts a distinguished career as an economist, model, and writer.
German tabloids noted Bourcant’s active lifestyle, which includes frequent travel between New York, Los Angeles, and Germany, indicating her comfort in elite circles.
Bourcant holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in economics and is currently working on her Ph.D. She has an extensive international modeling portfolio, including an appearance in Vogue Turkey.
