Miami Breakup Drama: Adebayo and Herro Clash

Things have gotten a bit tense in Miami. Recently, Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro had a confrontation during a practice session in Las Vegas on Friday morning, according to reports from ESPN’s Shams Charania.

It seems Adebayo struck Herro in the face while leaving the court. This incident reportedly stemmed from Adebayo’s recent trade to the Bucks, which prompted him to address some remarks Herro had made on social media regarding him.

The Miami Heat commented to ESPN, saying, “We are aware, but will not comment.” Meanwhile, the Bucks chose to remain silent on the matter.

Later that day, Herro was spotted courtside, seemingly in conversation with the Milwaukee team during a summer league game involving the Heat.

After the trade, Herro took to Instagram to post a graphic showcasing players with low mid-range shooting percentages, which humorously included both Adebayo and new acquisition Giannis Antetokounmpo. To put it bluntly, Antetokounmpo ranked at the bottom with a shooting percentage of 26.8%, while Adebayo was tenth at 35.9%.

There was also a leaked video that appeared to show Herro taking a jab at Adebayo. Fans argued that Adebayo’s contract was justified due to his status as a “top-five defender,” with decent scoring averages. In response, Herro seemed to push back, implying that being a good defender on one night shouldn’t warrant a $60 million contract.

However, it’s worth noting that Adebayo won’t actually make the $60 million this season—and likely not next season, either. He has a three-year, $160 million deal with Miami, which adds another layer to this unfolding drama.

For context, the turbulence between these two is a bit unexpected, given they’ve been teammates for the past seven years. During the summer, Herro was traded to the Bucks as part of a larger deal that involved sending Antetokounmpo to the Heat. Along with Herro, the Bucks brought in Jaime Jaquez, Kelel Weah, Kasparas Yakuçonis, and several draft picks, including the 13th pick in the 2026 draft.

As for Adebayo and Herro, it seems their once-close relationship may have taken a serious hit amid the shifting dynamics.
