Barring another injury to quarterback Aaron Rodgers, the New York Jets are expected to compete for a playoff spot this season.
Last year was supposed to be the year the Jets finally ended their playoff drought, but the four-time MVP ruptured his Achilles on just the fourth snap in a nationally televised game against Gang Green.
The Jets went back to Zach Wilson, and the results were just as bad as everyone expected.

But now, Rodgers is fully healthy and there's little to be said about the incredible talent surrounding him.
That's why former Jets head coach Rex Ryan “expects them to go all the way.”
“I think this is going to be the Jets' year, I really do,” Ryan told former New York football reporter Gary Myers.
“They've got Aaron Rodgers. He's 100 years old. But they've got a great team. They've got a great team.”
Ryan also made a point of addressing the shortcomings of other teams in the AFC East.
“Buffalo is nowhere near what it was,” said Ryan, who coached the Bills in 2015 and 2016.

Tom Brady cautious about predicting Chiefs win third straight championship: 'There's a reason no one has done it before'
As for the Miami Dolphins, Ryan predicted, “They lost a lot of their best defensive players, so I don't think they're going to be that good.”
However, his criticism of the New England Patriots was particularly scathing.
“New England is the worst,” he said.
Rodgers will throw passes to wide receiver Garrett Wilson, who had over 1,000 yards receiving in each of his first two seasons despite statistically having the worst quarterback play of his NFL career, and to running back Breece Hall, while cornerback Sauce Gardner will again anchor the defense.

Gang Green will soon face a stiff test as he (ironically) takes on the San Francisco 49ers on “Monday Night Football,” a team whose last playoff appearance was in 2010.
