The New York Jets had hopes of making the Super Bowl with the return of Aaron Rodgers, a plethora of weapons, and an elite defense.
But before Thanksgiving, they are 3-8 and both their head coach and general manager are out of the building.
The Jets' 2024 season could very well be the most disappointing season in sports history. Rodgers looked like a 40-year-old with a major injury, and the defense fell back multiple times.

But Rex Ryan feels this year's team is where it should be.
Ryan and Robert Saleh had some beef a few years ago, but they quickly crushed it. But Ryan doesn't have confidence in interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich.
“Coaching is an absolute disaster. I'm not sugarcoating it. It's awful, it stinks, and there's no way around it,” Ryan said on ESPN's New York show. “DiPietro and Rothenberg” on monday. “Good luck to this guy, defensive coordinator and head coach, a guy who's never done it before.”
Now, Ryan, who coached the Jets from 2009 to 2014 and has been vocal about wanting to return to the MetLife Stadium sideline, was asked where he would be if he were to coach the Jets.

“Probably undefeated,” he replied. “It's just me.”
Ryan was an AFC Champion in his first two seasons with Gang Green, but failed to finish above .500 in his final four seasons. He was not the head coach of the Buffalo Bills in 2016, but joined ESPN shortly thereafter.

However, Ryan said there was an opportunity to return to coaching and that the Jets might call him after this season.
