A retired NASA flight surgeon recently revealed seeing footage of a flying saucer—around 20 feet wide—with the US Air Force logo, skillfully maneuvered inside a military hangar over 30 years ago.
Dr. Gregory Rogers, who served as the chief flight surgeon at NASA and was an Air Force major, shared his experience after military whistleblowers spoke at an event, looking into the recovery and investigation of unusual flying objects. The report came to light through the Daily Mail.
“I know what I saw that day. It was definitely not your typical flying vehicle,” the 68-year-old Rogers recounted to the publication.
According to the recounting from Space Document, in 1992, Rogers was at Cape Canaveral, Florida when an Air Force major approached him, suggesting he had something impressive to show.
Rogers was led to a room where the major closed the blinds and door before displaying CCTV footage.
“We have a flying saucer,” he said.
The large emblem on the saucer read “US Air Force,” alongside a US flight insignia.
Rogers recalled asking, “Is this ours?” in disbelief.
He estimated its dimensions at about 20 feet wide and 8-10 feet tall, with a shallow dome on top.
“There were no antennas or control surfaces, just a really smooth design—no rivets or seams. It was all white, except for a vertical black rectangle positioned at three, six, and nine o’clock,” he explained.
Rogers noted that several individuals were present, some in hazardous suits, while others observed in lab coats.
As alarms rang in the hangar, Rogers described how the scene changed dramatically.
“I witnessed what looked like electromagnetic charges from that vehicle, though there wasn’t any device producing them,” he mentioned.
“Suddenly, it became smooth, and when it lifted three feet off the ground, it spun clockwise, made a full rotation, then counterclockwise,” he added, still baffled.
Turning to the Air Force major, Rogers questioned why the US Air Force had developed the vehicle.
“We got it from them,” was the major’s response, hinting at something beyond Earth.
Dr. Rogers kept this secret for 15 years, even from his wife, as reported.
He expressed frustration with the “Wimpy” Air Force major, according to the Daily Mail.
Additionally, he mentioned that an astronaut had shared similar experiences with him.
“The astronauts talked about UAPs with me,” he said. “As far as we know, vehicles not part of the human space program have been spotted near spacecraft.”
Dr. Rogers suggested that such formations with these vehicles aren’t uncommon, adding that astronauts had seen these objects but professional stigmas prevented them from sharing their knowledge.
With over 20 years of service in the US Department of Defense, Dr. Rogers played a vital role in both manned and unmanned space missions, and he currently serves on the board of the International UFO Bureau.
