Former New York State Representative Michael Grimm (R) was left partially paralyzed in a horse-riding accident in September.
According to GoFundMe page Arrangements were made for Grimm's recovery on Saturday, but the former congressman remains in “the most dire conditions” after being thrown from his horse.
His GoFundMe aims to raise donations to help with “treatment to help him walk again.”
The former New York congressman is a Newsmax host who is a former Marine and former FBI agent.

Vincent Ignizio, a former South Shore City Councilman and current deputy executive director of the New York City Board of Elections. said in a Facebook post Grimm said she needs help to “cover the long road to recovery and the many costs that insurance won't cover.”
Newsmax correspondent Alex Salvi shared a donation link and asked his followers to consider donating if they can.
The Hill has reached out to Newsmax for comment.
Grimm served in the House of Representatives from 2011 to 2015, but resigned after being convicted of tax evasion. He was sentenced to eight months in prison for tax evasion.
Grimm launched his old congressional campaign in 2017, aiming to oust former U.S. Rep. Daniel Donovan, a Republican who won a special election after he resigned.
