Former NFL receiver accuses Dak Prescott of quitting on Cowboys

Dak Prescott, who suffered a hamstring injury in Week 9 against the Falcons, will likely be placed on IR, and some are questioning his commitment with the team on the brink.

Fox Sports analyst and former Packers receiver James Jones called for Prescott to play through the injury while the Cowboys are at 3-5.

“That's not even funny, like my man [is] It’s time to stop with these guys,” Jones said on Fox Sports’ new show “The Facility.”

“I hurt my hamstring one too many times and it's back the next week. I'm not Tyreek Hill. It doesn't take four weeks for a sore hamstring to heal. You're not Lamar Jackson. You. That's not Jalen Hurts. You're not running. Where are you running?”

A former favorite target of then-Packers MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Jones suffered multiple lower-body injuries during his career, including a hamstring strain in 2014. According to his injury history.

He played nine seasons in the NFL, eight of them in Green Bay.

Prescott suffered a more serious hamstring strain than originally thought during the Cowboys' 27-21 loss to the Falcons, leaving Dallas 3 1/2 games behind the Commanders for first place in the NFC East.

Prescott was caught mouthing “We suck” while standing on the sideline in the final quarter of the game, potentially giving Jones a boost. belief.

“Essentially, you're going to put me on the ice for four weeks. There's no contention, nothing. No, 'Hey, I'll be back in two weeks. I'll be back in a week.' This is an explosion at the quarterback position. It's the hamstring of a quarterback who can't use his strength. ”

Jones shared his hot take as owner Jerry Jones commented that Prescott would “likely” be placed on IR, something that has yet to be officially announced by the team.

There's a good chance Prescott is fighting hard to be productive for the team in the coming weeks.

Prescott has seen his mobility fall off a cliff since a debilitating foot injury in 2020.
