The former Rams and Dolphins are dead as they run through Eddie Hill. The Miami Dolphins announced Monday afternoon.
He was 67 years old.
The hill played 6 years in the NFL After being selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the second round of the 1979 NFL Draft from the University of Memphis.
According to Sun SentinelHill was fighting a brain tumor. Hill also believed he had early signs of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) before his death.
CTE is a brain disease caused by repeated head injuries and repeated trauma. Many former NFL players suffer from CTE.
“I'm probably dealing with some of them,” Hill said.
Despite this, Hill said he wouldn't trade any NFL careers.
“Every life has a purpose,” he said.
Hill spent two years with the Rams and was traded for Miami after appearing in 23 games, closing his career and playing in 52 games.
