Former NFL star Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones arrested just hours after Mike Tyson-Jake Paul boxing match, police say

Just hours after the conclusion of the boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, Adam “Pacman” Jones was taken into police custody in Arlington, Texas.

Arlington police told The Athletic that the former Cincinnati Bengals cornerback faces one count of assault on a police officer and one count of public intoxication. Jones is also charged with evading and resisting arrest.

Officers arrested Jones at the Loews Arlington Hotel, a mixed-use development less than a mile from AT&T Stadium, the site of Friday night's game.

Police said Jones got into an argument in the hotel's bar area shortly after 1 a.m., and hotel security alerted an off-duty police officer to the altercation.

Once officers arrived at the bar area, Jones and the others involved in the incident were separated, authorities said.

However, Jones “continued to approach the other parties and scream,” investigators said. At one point, a responding officer intervened and informed Jones that he would be detained if he attempted to continue fighting.

Jones was then involved in another fight at the same hotel. Police officers and hotel security staff intervened to try to break up the altercation. During that time, Jones “struck the officer in the arm,” police said.

A female police officer then told Jones he was under arrest. However, Jones was able to temporarily avoid being handcuffed and even began walking before police assistance arrived.
