Former New Jersey Republican Aide Moves to Florida for a Fresh Start
A former aide from New Jersey, who is facing serious allegations related to a planned anti-Trump act, is relocating to Florida to start anew. Natalie Green, 26, is set to live with a childhood friend, Kristen Elizabeth Horton James, who has her own legal troubles.
During a court hearing on Wednesday, it was revealed that Horton James, 30, has a history of arrests, including cocaine possession and driving an unlicensed vehicle. The two women met at summer camp two decades ago and reconnected after Green’s arrest last November.
Interestingly, Horton James, a tattooed part-time waitress and mother of two, will now act as Green’s legal guardian, despite her own troubled past. She mentioned using medical marijuana for anxiety and has successfully completed a treatment program for her previous drug-related issues.
Horton James, currently on probation for riding an ATV illegally, assured the court that she understands her responsibilities and will keep an eye on Green, who used to work for Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-N.J.) and drove a Maserati.
Green, who sustained severe injuries during the incident that led to her arrest, will be moving into a three-bedroom rental in Florida. She has a job lined up and intends to continue her mental health treatment there.
The court has mandated that Green adhere to a curfew and wear an ankle monitor. Her legal team argued that this move would grant her a “fresh start,” as opportunities in her original location were virtually nonexistent.
Previously, Green was accused of orchestrating a fake attack in Egg Harbor Township, claiming that three men assaulted her while armed. In a bizarre twist, words like “Trump whore” were reportedly marked on her body.
Federal prosecutors allege that just days before this staged event, Green paid a body modification artist $500 to inflict severe scarring across various parts of her body, intentionally creating a dramatic scene for the authorities.
After being taken to the hospital, her story conflicted with that of her accomplice, and investigators found zip ties hidden in her luxury vehicle. Green now faces charges for conspiracy to make false statements and lying to federal officials, with potential penalties of up to 10 years in prison and a hefty fine if convicted.
