Former Obama staff criticize Hunter Biden's feeling of entitlement following intense interview

Former Obama Aide Critiques Hunter Biden’s Remarks

A former aide to President Obama expressed his discontent on Monday after Hunter Biden, the president’s son, criticized Democratic elites in a recent interview.

During an episode of “Pod Save America,” hosted by John Favreau and Jon Lovett, the former Obama staffer reacted to Hunter Biden’s comments, calling him a hypocrite. Hunter referred to the podcast hosts as “Junior F— Speech Writers.”

In response, the former aide commented on social media that it was amusing, yet disappointing, to see Hunter attack others without recognizing his own privilege.

Lovett remarked in the podcast that it must be challenging for Hunter to see how he’s been treated, hinting at negative perceptions surrounding him. He pointed out that while Hunter is critical of figures like David Axelrod and George Clooney, the real issue seems to be the voters’ sentiments—many had concerns about his father’s age.

Reflecting on Hunter’s previous positions, Lovett mentioned, “You were involved with Burisma because of your father,” highlighting a sentiment that resonates with public frustration regarding political nepotism.

In the lengthy interview, Hunter didn’t hold back, targeting various public figures while expressing gratitude for his father’s long political career. But Lovett expressed concern over the apparent entitlement perceived in Hunter’s comments.

He noted that there seems to be a prevailing attitude among the Biden family about their qualifications for positions, which he described as problematic. “You should be ashamed of how your father’s political stature has declined,” he added, emphasizing the need for accountability.

As the podcast progressed, criticisms of Biden’s inner circle increased, suggesting that their encouragement for him to run again was misguided, given public opinion indicating that many believe he shouldn’t pursue another term.

In closing, Favreau characterized Biden’s decision to seek reelection as a significant error, stating that it reflected a disconnect between the president and his inner circle and the reality of public sentiment.
