Former Prince Andrew has pulled the royal family into troubling circumstances.

The downfall of the disgraced royal, formerly known as Prince Andrew, appears nearly complete as he was removed from a police station after spending his 66th birthday in custody.

With the looming possibility of prison, the late Queen Elizabeth II’s favorite son has unintentionally caused turmoil for those around him, including his brother, King Charles, and the British monarchy itself.

His daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, reportedly feel “shocked” by their father’s arrest, expressing that they feel “tainted by him,” according to Page Six.

There’s even a chance they might lose their titles in the future, although a close friend mentioned, “we hope that doesn’t happen.”

Reports indicate that Andrew’s ex-wife and confidante, Sarah Ferguson, has left the UK for the Middle East and is currently struggling with her mental health.

Things might escalate regarding Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, as he is now officially known. Investigators from the British police have visited Buckingham Palace, where he maintained an office. They could access computers and phones linked to him and his former staff with a judge’s warrant.

A royal source indicated, “I think the only way this situation can resolve itself and the monarchy move forward is for Andrew to go to prison.” There seems to be a sentiment that progress within the monarchy hinges on new governance, perhaps when Prince William ascends the throne.

Diminished and pale, Andrew was interrogated for nearly 11 hours at Aylsham Police Station in Norwich before his arrest for misconduct in public office at his new residence, Wood Farm, on the Sandringham Estate.

The allegations involve Andrew supposedly sharing confidential British government information with Jeffrey Epstein while serving as Britain’s trade envoy from 2001 to 2011. While he was interrogated, he was released, strongly denying any wrongdoing.

Under British law, misconduct in public office can lead to a life sentence, but one lawyer suggested it’s “quite unlikely” he would face prison time, although some form of sentence remains a possibility.

Evidence against Andrew has emerged from millions of documents related to Epstein. Officials see his arrest as a potential opportunity for Charles to further diminish the monarchy.

Reportedly, Charles has stripped Andrew of his title, and could potentially remove titles from others, like Harry and Meghan, to protect his own status. Questions are being raised about what more serious allegations might exist.

The investigation has been fueled by incriminating documents released by the U.S. relating to Epstein’s activities, raising the complexities surrounding Andrew’s past actions.

Despite his denials, Andrew has long been associated with scandals, affecting the family’s reputation. Sources suggest this has cast a shadow over King Charles’s reign as he manages his own health challenges and his brother’s ongoing issues.

As the situation unfolds, Andrew could be facing court proceedings, but any developments may take a significant amount of time. In the meantime, his relation to Epstein continues to haunt his family, while a conversation about the monarchy’s future looms.
