Nick Fuentes, a controversial figure known for his divisive rhetoric, seems to have garnered some unexpected support from former Rep. Jamal Bowman. In an Instagram reel, Bowman appeared to highlight clips from Fuentes’ show, effectively encouraging him.
In one of the clips shared, Fuentes claimed that Trump is more beneficial for Israel and industries like oil, gas, and technology than the Democratic Party. It’s a striking statement, and Bowman seems to agree, saying, “Finally we got it Nick. Now it’s time to take it one step further.” This perspective, particularly from someone with a political background, raises eyebrows.
Bowman, who has faced criticism himself—having been censured by the House after attempting to disrupt a vote at the Capitol—has a bit of a track record when it comes to inflammatory remarks. It’s worth noting that he’s also been accused of making anti-Semitic comments in the past.
In a somewhat related incident, Bowman recently denied claims surrounding war atrocities, stating there was no proof of decapitations or rapes attributed to Hamas. “We still don’t have any evidence that they decapitated babies or raped women, but they continue to use lies,” he asserted during a rally, sparking further controversy.
Later, he apologized for those comments, emphasizing that there’s a broader strategy at play intended to divide people based on race and maintain power dynamics. In his comments on Fuentes’ clip, he reiterated that it’s the responsibility of marginalized groups to confront such structures of inequality.
In a separate matter, Vice President J.D. Vance has also criticized Fuentes’ derogatory remarks about his family, further spotlighting the controversial figure’s polarizing presence in political discussions.
