Former Space Force commander to serve with Hegseth as Air Force undersecretary: President-elect Donald Trump

President-elect Donald Trump announced Friday night that a former fighter pilot will be the next deputy secretary of the Air Force.

Lt. Col. Matthew Lohmeyer, former commander of the U.S. Space Force, appeared on Fox News in July to discuss military readiness after claiming he was fired for criticizing the Space Force. “Marxist” DEI Complex.

When announcing his nomination, President Trump praised Lohmeyer, writing that he “dedicated his life to the service of our great nation.”
