Indictment of Former Teacher and Boyfriend on Child Sex Crimes
A former substitute teacher from Texas and her boyfriend have been indicted this month on a staggering 39 charges related to the sexual abuse of a five-year-old girl, as reported by various news outlets.
Madison Page Jones, aged 30, faces 19 criminal charges. These include 13 counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child, four counts of indecent exposure to a child, one charge of indecency by sexual contact with a child, and one charge related to the possession of child pornography with intent to promote it, according to court records.
It appears that on the same day, her boyfriend, 37-year-old Zachary Dondlinger, was charged with 20 counts, mirroring many of the charges against Jones.
Both individuals are currently held at the Wayne McCollum Detention Center in Waxahachie, with their combined bail set at nearly $9 million. Dondlinger’s bail stands at $5 million, while Jones’s is $3.84 million.
According to prior reports, Jones worked as a substitute teacher in the Midlothian Independent School District but was removed from her position shortly after her arrest.
The school district has assured the public that there is no indication that the current charges are connected to her employment. Initial findings suggest that no misconduct occurred on school grounds or during related events.
Authorities began investigating after receiving a report regarding a possible sexual assault on December 17. Following the tip, officers visited the home of an acquaintance of Jones, who expressed concerns about Dondlinger’s behavior towards the young girl.
During interrogations, Jones reportedly confessed to sexually assaulting the girl as per Dondlinger’s direction. Furthermore, she admitted to having sent videos of sexual acts via Snapchat in response to his requests. Investigators also uncovered messages from Dondlinger that corroborated Jones’s claims of acting under his instructions.
Moreover, Jones is alleged to possess over 500 images depicting child pornography. Reports indicate that the alleged abuse took place between December 5 and December 17, involving a single victim.
Jones was arrested on December 19, while Dondlinger was apprehended on December 23 at an oil rig site about an hour west of Odessa. Following their arrests, police seized electronic devices, including an iPhone and an iPad from Jones and two iPhones from Dondlinger.
The case continues to develop as the Ellis County District Attorney’s Office has yet to issue a public statement.
