Former WWE Champion Bobby Horn Passes Away at 58
Bobby Horn, known to wrestling fans as Sir Mo from the Men on a Mission tag team, died on Sunday at the age of 58.
The announcement came via a Facebook post by retired wrestler Leilani Kai and the pro wrestling organization Book Pro Wrestlers.
Sir Mo was part of WWE from 1993 to 1996, teaming up with Nelson Frazier, known as Mabel. Their dynamic personalities and energy in the ring quickly made them fan favorites. A highlight of their career was winning the WWE Tag Team Championship in 1994.
In his final months, Horn dealt with pneumonia and a blood infection, spending the last eight weeks in the hospital, according to reports.
Leilani Kai reflected on her memories with him, saying they first met while traveling with WWF in the mid-’90s. She noted, “He was always kind to me. Always smiling, joking, and treating everyone with respect.”
She also highlighted how Horn had a unique ability to make newcomers feel welcomed during long road trips, an aspect that meant a lot during those times.
“We then worked together many times on the independent circuit in the Carolinas, and he was just as genuine in the spotlight as he was outside,” she added.
Kai remembered Horn’s love for the wrestling business, his fans, and his efforts to give back. “He had a special warmth that reminded us that pro wrestling is not just about what happens in the ring, but the people and memories that come with it,” she wrote.
In closing, she expressed her sadness by saying, “Rest in peace my friend. Thank you for all the laughs, all the kind words, and every night we spent together. You will be missed by all of us who knew you.”
Horn had faced significant health issues since 2018, as highlighted in a GoFundMe campaign aimed at assisting with medical bills. His wife, Denise, was by his side throughout his struggles.
The wrestling community is mourning his loss, with fans and friends sharing tributes on social media.
