The former congressional candidate and professional wrestler charged in the death of a man at a Las Vegas Strip hotel was dressed as Ken during the alleged incident during a Halloween party.
Daniel Rodimer, 45, was reportedly dressed as Ken from the movie Barbie when he got into an argument with Christopher Tapp, 47, during a Halloween party at Resorts World last year. ing.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said medical personnel responded to a call on Oct. 29 and found Tapp injured in a hotel room.
Tapp died on Nov. 5 at Sunrise Hospital, and authorities began investigating the death as suspicious. His death was ruled a homicide.

Rodimer surrendered to police on Wednesday after a warrant was issued for his arrest. His attorney said he “intends to vigorously contest the allegations.” He posted $200,000 bail Wednesday night.
According to court documents obtained by KVVU-TV, Rodmeyer believed Tapp provided cocaine to his stepdaughter.
Partygoers said they saw “angry Ken” stripping off a fur coat that was part of his costume and charging into a bathroom where cocaine was lined up. In the documents, some alleged Rodimer pushed Tapp to the floor and punched him.

Further evidence against Rodimer includes text exchanges between him and his ex-wife.
A text message from his ex-wife to Rodimer reads, “As he lay there, I had to take your…hands off his neck and you ran away.” Ta. “For the next two hours, I tried to take care of him. No one should watch their husband kill someone.”
Tapp previously served 20 years in prison for the 1996 rape and murder of an 18-year-old woman in Idaho. He was released in 2017 and found not guilty in 2019.
Another man also pleaded guilty.
Rodimer competed in WWE as a professional wrestler from 2004 to 2007.
He then ran unsuccessfully for Congress as a Republican twice. She lost to Democratic Congresswoman Susie Lee in 2020 for Nevada’s 3rd Congressional District seat.

Rodimer then moved to Texas and ran in a 2021 special election to fill the seat vacated by Republican U.S. Rep. Ron Wright, who contracted COVID-19 and died in office.
As one of 23 candidates, Rodimer received less than 3% of the vote.
