King Charles III Faces Gardening Team Turnover

King Charles III appears to be having trouble keeping a stable gardening team at High Grove House. Out of the twelve gardeners that have been employed there since 2022, eleven have left, raising eyebrows and concerns. One staff member reportedly filed a complaint, mentioning difficulties in meeting the King’s expectations.

According to a source, the remaining staff developed physical injuries while trying to keep up with the demands, and team morale was said to be quite low. At one point, when staff mentioned their lack of familiarity with a certain flower, the King allegedly responded with, “Please don’t put that man in front of me again.”

In reaction to these departures, a spokesperson for the King’s Foundation reached out to clarify that employee turnover is “far below the national average.” They emphasized their commitment to staff welfare, stating, “We strive to be an exemplary employer, regularly reporting high satisfaction rates.” They also pointed out that, since 2022, operating profits have more than doubled, and new educational programs have been initiated to teach traditional gardening skills.

Despite the turnover, the King’s Foundation noted that the staff has enjoyed consistent annual pay increases since 2022, ranging from 15% to 19%. This is in line with national trends, which suggests their efforts to improve working conditions are somewhat effective.

Since taking residence at High Grove House in 1980, King Charles has raised both Prince Harry and Prince William there, often alongside his late wife, Princess Diana. Currently, he shares the home with Queen Camilla.
