Four Headless Bodies Found Hanging from Bridge Amidst Mexican Cartel Violence; 16 More Dead

Sinaloa Cartel Violence Escalates

Nearly two dozen rival gang members were killed by gunmen from the Sinaloa cartel, with four victims displayed gruesomely hung from a bridge. This brutal scene has heightened fears as the ongoing conflict between the Chapitos faction and the Mayiza faction continues unabated, resulting in hundreds of casualties over the past year. Despite reassurances from the Mexican government about curtailing cartel violence, the situation remains dire. The Sinaloa cartel is classified as a foreign terrorist organization by the US State Department.

Authorities were dispatched on Monday to an elevated section of Highway 15 in Culiacan, where they discovered the heads of four men displayed in a shocking manner. Additionally, several vans were found containing numerous bodies and even some packed in bags.

Attached to one of the vehicles was a posterboard threatening rivals, supposedly linked to the ongoing turf war. Markers were used to scrawl threats and messages directly onto the van.

Once the scene was secured, Mexican authorities transported the remains to a local morgue. Exclusive photos from inside the morgue show the grim situation there, with many bodies awaiting processing.

Law enforcement sources, speaking anonymously, indicated that the identity of the deceased has not been fully confirmed yet. However, initial findings suggest that at least one victim was a gunman from the Cartel Jalisco New Generation (CJNG), who had been sent to Sinaloa from locations in Michoacan and Guanajuato. The CJNG is also labeled a foreign terrorist organization by the State Department.

Reports indicate that those killed were believed to be reinforcements for Los Chapitos, but they were captured by another faction within the Sinaloa cartel, aligned with Fausto Isidro “Isidro.” This faction has been embroiled in conflicts, primarily around the leadership of Meza Flores, who had managed to avoid direct conflict with Chapitos and Maisa until recently.

The violence escalated when the Chapitos, led by Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman’s sons, set a trap for their former ally, Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada. They lured him into a meeting, only to hand him over to authorities waiting nearby.
