Officials reported that four men have been arrested in connection with the shooting of San Francisco 49ers defensive end Keion White, which took place in February.
The incident occurred on February 9, shortly after 4:00 a.m. at the Dahlia nightclub in the Mission District, where White was hosting a private Super Bowl party.
Following the shooting, White was taken to a nearby hospital for surgery on his ankle, according to the 49ers.
San Francisco Police Chief Derrick Lew announced that the arrests were made with the help of law enforcement agencies from various locations including Los Angeles and Atlanta.
Lew indicated that multiple suspects armed with guns confronted White that night. Investigators utilized witness accounts and surveillance video to identify those believed to be involved in the shooting.
Curtis Green, aged 35, was apprehended in Irvine on October 7, with 36-year-old Gregory Walker arrested two days later, both suspected of participating in the incident.
The men were booked into the San Francisco County Jail on Monday and were expected to appear in court the following afternoon.
District Attorney Brooke Jenkins noted that prosecutors are seeking to deny bail for Walker, citing him as a public safety concern.
Walker is facing charges of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, along with additional charges related to possessing a firearm as a felon. The prosecution claims he was the one who fired the weapon.
