Police Investigate Suspicious Deaths in San Francisco Home

Authorities are looking into the “suspicious” deaths of four individuals discovered in an expensive residence in San Francisco.

This unsettling situation was uncovered Wednesday around 1:23 p.m., during a welfare check on Monterey Boulevard, which is located in a well-off neighborhood. The San Francisco Police Department confirmed the details of this incident.

The deceased were believed to be family members living in the home and were declared dead on-site. As reported by two sources, the matter is being examined as a potential murder-suicide, although police are categorizing it as a suspicious death.

Officer Robert Rueca, a spokesperson for the San Francisco Police Department, commented on the rarity of such events in the area. He mentioned, “This is a very rare occurrence in this area. We don’t see much activity of this type here.”

Leading the investigation is the department’s homicide unit, but as of Thursday morning, no formal classification had been assigned to the case.

Witnesses in the neighborhood noted that the family had two daughters, one estimated to be around 12 or 13 years old. Neighbors shared with KTVU-TV that this family had only moved into the upscale area a year ago and frequently decorated for Christmas.

Belinda, a neighbor for three years, remarked, “We didn’t hear anything and didn’t notice anything unusual. They seemed like a quiet family.”

On Wednesday, police were seen searching the Spanish-style home and its vicinity for clues. Records indicate that the house sold for $1.35 million in 2014; it features three bedrooms and one bathroom covering 1,755 square feet.

Although no victims’ names or ages have been disclosed, the San Francisco Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is conducting an investigation to ascertain the causes and circumstances of the deaths.
