Fox Sports has finalized new agreements with two of its prominent on-air personalities, Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson, according to a report from Tuesday.
Their contracts are set to be extended significantly before the upcoming NFL season, as the current ones were due to expire after the 2024-25 season.
Details regarding the terms of the new contracts haven’t been disclosed.
Andrews, aged 47, and Thompson, 43, are not just colleagues; they’re best friends and co-host a podcast called “Calm.” However, the details about their contract renewal remain under wraps.
There were hints from Fox that Andrews would be returning, particularly after they featured her in the May 2025 regular season game schedule, which included images of her alongside analyst Tom Brady and other NFL broadcast team members like Kevin Burkhardt and Tom Rinaldi.
Andrews and Brady both represented Fox during that month, leading up to the 2025 season.
As for Thompson, she had expressed her desire to remain at Fox during a podcast episode in February while discussing Super Bowl 2025, which was also aired on the network.
Earlier in April, Thompson addressed some rumors about her leaving Fox, stating, “No, I’m not leaving Fox. I never left Fox.” She recounted a recent family gathering at her ranch where some relatives jokingly questioned how she could afford it if she were out of a job.
“Why is this headline here? It’s crazy… I wasn’t leaving Fox. I hope to end my career there for a long time. Fox is my longest relationship; I’ve been with them since I was 22,” she said. “But anyway, it won’t end soon. That’s a fake headline.”
Thompson is involved in various roles at Fox, including hosting the “Fox NFL Kickoff” show and several NFL film segments.
She also hosts the pre-game show for “Thursday Night Football” on Amazon Prime Video.
Both Andrews and Thompson frequently comment on the familial atmosphere at Fox, expressing a sense of community amongst colleagues.
